Nancy Crampton Brophy, author of the essay and book, “How to Murder Your Husband” and “The Wrong Husband”, has been found guilty of murder of her husband, chef Daniel Brophy.
Evidently the romance novelist told her cellmate how she did the crime. Crampton Brophy even swapped out the barrel of the gun she purchased to make it harder to trace. She claimed in the trial her purchase of the gun was for research.
She has yet to be sentenced for the second-degree murder.
